restored
to a new
standard.
Best-practice refurbishment, used under licence from The Refurb Company (UK).
A licensed, documented process.
Every laptop that leaves a Greenbox facility is restored using a documented, licensed refurbishment methodology — used under licence from The Refurb Company (UK) — to a new or near-new standard.
Skins, SticKeys and Screen Savers are applied on-site in our own facility, replacing spray paint, printed keycaps and offshore screen rework with certified, warranty-backed materials. The restoration materials are backed by a 3‑year warranty.
“Refurbished” isn’t one standard.
Much of the refurbished IT market still relies on spray-painted cases and printed keycaps, often finished offshore. The results vary supplier to supplier — and that variance is what buyers remember.
Reputation risk
An inconsistent cosmetic finish on one device affects how a buyer views every device from that supplier.
Inconsistent standards
Grading and finishing methods differ supplier to supplier, so “Grade A” is not applied consistently across the market.
Higher carbon cost
Spray booths, solvent paint and offshore rework each add measurable emissions to a device that’s meant to be extending its life, not adding to its footprint.
Hard to scale
Processes that depend on specialist equipment or offshore facilities are harder to teach, certify and repeat consistently at volume.
What “OEM” means here
OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer — the company that built the device, such as HP, Dell, Lenovo, Microsoft or Apple. When we describe a Greenbox restoration as matched to OEM standard, we mean the finish is benchmarked to the colour, contour and durability of that manufacturer’s own components.
Three techniques. Real units, before and after.
Greenbox is a licensed Australia and New Zealand production partner for The Refurb Company’s (UK) refurbishment methodology — recognised industry best practice. Photography from devices processed using this methodology, unedited aside from cropping.

Your brand. Your artwork. Your fleet.
Skins aren’t limited to a factory-matched finish. The same warranty-backed material can carry an organisation’s colours, branding or commissioned artwork across a whole fleet — laptop lids, palmrests and desktop cases.

The old methods carry hidden costs.
Spray painting
Inconsistent colour match, health & safety exposure from fumes and solvents, higher labour and carbon cost per unit.
Keyboard printing or replacement
Printing can still ghost or peel over time; full keyboard replacement adds cost and e-waste.
Offshore rework & shipping
Sending devices overseas for cosmetic work extends the supply chain, slows turnaround and adds freight emissions.
Greenbox’s licensed methodology
Applied locally, by hand, with no capital equipment — consistent grading, a 3‑year warranty, and a documented, lower carbon footprint per device.
A measured, lower-carbon way to restore a device
Backed by a documented warranty.
Greenbox is one of a small number of licensed production facilities worldwide for this methodology — alongside The Refurb Company’s own UK and US operations — serving Australia and New Zealand. The 3‑year warranty covers the restoration materials themselves against peeling, fading or cracking; it applies alongside, not instead of, the device’s own warranty.
